“Upon arriving at the farmers arms we were greeted with a friendly, warm reception. .we were then escorted to the green house(the 1 bedroom cottage where we were staying) even under an umbrella to shelter us from the wet weather! When we arrived a few minutes later we were shown into our accommodation and Olivier (the man from the farmers arms) checked we had everything we needed and even asked if we’d like him to book us a table at the restaurant that evening,we were really happy with what we were presented with and found the cottage to have all the home comforts necessary to ensure we enjoyed our stay..we would definitely recommend the cottage to anyone staying in ulverston, a clean, central, personal base for anyone considering a break in the lake district…would highly recommend a stay here. The McGarths
“Stayed here for one night as I was in the area on business. I stayed in one of the rooms directly behind the pub and they were fantastic. Recently refurbished so couldn’t fault them. All theirs rooms are room only but you get a complimentary continental breakfast in a take-away bag (if you’re leaving early) which was a nice touch.
Bar/restaurant area was very busy considering it was a Wednesday night which says alot about the place. Definitely worth a visit if you are in the area.”
“We booked one of the two bedroom cottages the hotel/pub own, literally a minutes walk from the establishment.
For £120 for one night we thought it was very good, clean, tastefully decorated and had everything we needed. Located right in the centre of town it’s a great option for accommodation whether it’s business or leisure.”Adrain
“I’ve spent a number of months working in the area. Stayed here once and never went anywhere else. Accommodation is outstanding, staff are extremely helpful and the Farmers Arms has a great atmosphere and the food is brilliant. A+ all round!”Adam C – Newcastle
